With 70 different types of cuisine on offer in the capital, you
can eat as well or better in London as you can in Paris, Rome, New
York or L.A. The brigade of ambitious British chefs is inventive,
original and their cooking shows off the glory of British ingredients.
London’s Indian restaurants range from the cheap and filling
to the expensive and impressive. Bick Lane just east of the city
is lined with curry and balti houses while there are more elegant
establishments dotted all round town. The Chinese community in Chinatown
just north of Leicester Square is teeming with restaurants. London
also has a multitude of Italian, Thai, French, Turkish and Greek
restaurants. Eating out is not always a formal event so dress code
is usually casual unless you are going somewhere fancy.

You might have a bit of trouble deciphering the menu, but you can’t
go wrong if you stick to the Sashimi, which is some of the best
and most varied in town. There is also a wide range of places to
sit from tatami mats to a bar or classic European tables. Always
an enjoyable experience.
Green House
(Traditional English)

This restaurant occupies the ground floor of an amazing building dating
from the interwar years. The interior is airy and light and the atmosphere
like the service is young and alert. It’s not cheap but because it
is very popular you are advised to book well in advance.
